Cultural Collage
This collage represents my vision of America today. First, it is, of course, the Statue of Liberty, the symbol which attracts millions and millions of immigrants who come to this beautiful country from almost every corner of the globe in the hope for a better life. American Flag is another symbol of the US which very clearly represents the unity and equality of 50 American states. White House is not only a sightseeing of the American capital; this humble building is known all over the world as the place where the most vitally important political decisions are made, the political decisions which very much influence the other governments world round. Despite the protests which, unfortunately take place in our country nowadays, friendly relationship between the Democrats and Republicans, black and white not only possible but real though till nowadays the black are sure that they do not enjoy equal rights as the white do. The equal number of black and white at our schools and colleges is a vivid confirmation of the fact that both the black and the white have an equal access to American education. More than that, the number of black athletes in the US Olympic team is another proof that America is the country for everybody who works hard in achieving their dream despite their skin color. Everyone knows the words of Martin Luther King, “I have a dream,” and I believe that if he would live nowadays, he would have been glad about the changes for the best the black population experience today. Hardly most people round the globe only some decades ago would believe that the USA would have a black president, the first time in its history. No doubt, America, as well as other countries of the world, is not perfect and a lot more should be done to improve life of both black and white.
