Tears

The tears on your face
Saying the last goodbye
A lovely facade
For my heart to freeze and cry
The tears on your face
That beckon of a bliss now lost
Stealing my happy place
Forcing to embrace the loss
These drops that tease me so eager
To run, to beg, to try
To put it back together
But in the end, stop to deny
Tears taunt and dance in patterns
And glow in the dark like dusty lanterns
Such gleam follow I cannot
It leaves my senseless soul to rot
The tears on my face don't mean a thing
To me, to you, to any human being
And all that is left to settle the score
Is to throw and shatter my horrid core
But do not fret, my love, and do not sigh
For I know how to stay awake and hide
So cold and so numb, seeing nothing else
Only the tears on your face that make my life a mess
