Unspoken feelings

In my heart, there's a secret place

Where my feelings hide away.

They are waiting for the right time

To come out and let me say:

 

I care about you more than words can say

And I hope you'll understand.

You are my light in the darkest night

And my strength when I feel weak.

 

But I'm afraid to say it out loud

For fear of scaring you away.

I'm just a simple soul

Who needs your love to stay.

 

So I'll keep my feelings hidden

Till the time is right to say.
