I'm a traitor
I'm a traitor,
Except the traits, trade in the vowels,
Surrender the heart if love is not found,
Trade in the old for the new,
Trade in the world, for a cue
Of what to see and where to be,
The most expensive thoughts are free.
Trade in the faith for a chance,
Trade in the dream for success,
The teachers we seek to burn on a stake, for basis to which we raise all the stakes.
Fools wander the streets in search of being immune,
We're bored siluets, bound to consume,
Stained forever with the trickling of time,
I would trade it all in, for a little white lie.
