snowfall

Softly falling from the sky,
A blanket of white, serene and shy,
Each flake a crystal, delicate and light,
Drifting down in the hush of night.

Silent whispers of winter's tale,
In icy lace, a magical veil,
Turning rooftops into glistening caps,
And trees into frosted, shimmering wraps.

Fields and streets, all cloaked in white,
Underneath the peaceful night,
Footprints muffled, sounds subdued,
In this world of quiet solitude.

Children marvel, faces aglow,
Catching flakes with joyous flow,
Building snowmen, forts, and sleighs,
In this winter wonderland ballet.

Oh, snowfall pure, a celestial sight,
Bringing enchantment with each soft flight,
A fleeting beauty, a transient show,
Melting away where sunbeams glow.

Yet in our hearts, your memory stays,
A whispered dream of those wintry days,
A reminder of nature's gentle call,
In the magic of snow, enchanting all.
